Those are great mate, I like the contrasting colours. I need to experiment with some different colourways.
you can get some real pretty gear but sometimes I feel like ugly stuff works better! That holds true for trout fishing at least.
I think it's better to go for a suggestion of a fish rather than an exact copy.

Here's a skute/kabura hybrid that I'm looking forward to testing out this weekend!

Caught a nice Kahawai on Sunday with this Skute. Trolling it behind me on the kayak at first light, on my way to the spot.

Then set up my drift and the skute hooked into something decent on the drop. After a good fight I pulled in a nice Spotted Dogfish/Rig shark!

Never caught one before, hadn't heard of them going after lures - according to fishing.net.nz "Rig are fascinating in that they feed almost exclusively on crustaceans (crabs, shrimps, small crayfish), so unless you are using one of these baits, you are unlikely to catch them!"
I guess this means my skute was just so damn good the shark decided to change up its diet! Really cool fish so decided to let it go.

Few of the one I’ve been fishing for a couple of years now. Had some good success on snapper and trevally with them.
Never try the last one which is more prawn/crustacean look, I’m hoping getting interest by gurnard and snapper on sand ... will see

That top one looks a good piper mimic, tried it in the shallows?
OK Prowler Ultra 4.1

He that would fish, must venture his bait.
