With conditions looking good again had a mate to come with. Got to Sullys at 7am and launched quite quickly. My mate had brought a mate who was fishing off a Stand Up Paddleboard. Good times.

Paddled out to the usual channel and flicked a few softies around, while dragging a softie too. Was very slow going. Managed to get 1 keeper at about 35cm and threw a few smaller models back.

Paddled to a point that I've never really fished and the water was very clear. Kept getting bites and brought a good 50cm on board that pulled a bit of string. Quickly followed that up with a 32cm. That gave me 3 and by this stage it was near midday I think so we thought about heading back.

On the way home we came across a small work up. Kahawai busting the surface and the small white terns working the surface. A few casts and a few hook ups. Managed one for the bin to smoke up at home. It spewed up quite a lot of little whitebait looking things. And then got the softie to the bottom to pick up snapper number 4 at about 32cm. This work up turned an average day into a good day in terms of the fishing. Can never get sick of seeing and experiencing that.

The mate on a paddle board managed to hook a few kahawai too and we watched him have the time of his life and get towed around while standing up. Was epic to watch.

Also met a guy called Kahl, who has a sweet small inflatable set up with 3.3hp outboard. Very tempting to do something like that.

Conditions couldn't have been better, was stunning. Some photos courtesy of my mate/his mate.
