Ok so I have a 400 with only a paddle, seat and fish finder and would still like to add rudder, chill pod, trolley, railblaza bits etc BUT I keep seeing a lot of Reload's popping up for sale with a lot of these extras already equipped for a similar price for what I could sell mine for and spend on the upgrades.
So my questions are:

1) Stop now, sell and buy a Reload or keep going on the upgrades to the 400, buy a Reload down the track then swap the stuff?

2) What are the extra benefits of the Reload over the 400 and dies it justify the extra price?

3) What are everyones personal preferences between the 2 rigs?

Cheers
Even duct tape cant fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound!

Reload is a bit longer and hence a little faster.

Main difference however is the removable tackle pod which is awesome.

Reload is going to be heavier and more of a mission to load/unload depending on your setup.

If you can grab a cheap reload on TradeMe, and the extra weight & length isn't going to be a problem for you, I say go for it.

Also the hatch on reload is bigger, easier to use. 400 has a smaller spin-off hatch. But I like to travel light, so not a big deal. Love my 400.

Keep at buying your bits quite often the gear gets sold on here, or ask if a person has what you want you just never know your luck . The 400 is a very good craft. Read reviews on here. most is subjective but comes in handy.

Also the 400 travels well without rudder unlike other yacks.
