Finally... feels like its been a long winter. With warm days and rain it must be getting closer to spring. August seems to be a tough month for me with a few very quiet trips the usual pattern. So went out to Adele n fishermans isles on sat. A pleasantly warm offshore tooks us out and a light northerly for the drift/paddle home. Water quality was pretty average n still cold. Cod were hungry and gurnard happy to attack micro jigs. Very quiet out on the sand/mud but plenty of sign around any structure. Large bait schools looked promising but only cudas put in an appearance. Lots of seal pups on the rocks at adele was fun to watch, n provided lunch time entertainment. All up a nice paddle n a good stretch out
