Welcome genie4x4. Like most coastal places you will have a bit of a lift at times. Pays to be ready,.So when you get your yak head out in conditions you may normally go fishing in. Take no gear with you except safety gear, radio, life jacket. Go and have a good play. If a wave small or otherwise lifts your rear end and gets you side on lean hard up 'into' the wave and hopefully you may survive. In doing that wear a helmet, kayaks can hurt when they hit your head. Pref have another person on hand in case you need a bit of help. Learn to get back on in a bit of deeper water / very important with Kayaking. While getting used to the plan beware of off shore winds you could end up on the other end of SI. Good fishing down there too. Most of all enjoy your experience. :y:
