Had to do a fish on Sunday due to working Saturday, met "the mayor" at 0630 on the beach and off we went.
Incoming tide so headed out to the normal spot, bit choppy going out but conditions changed as the sun went up.
Slow going to start with then around 0730 into it, catching snaps on softies, fleas and sliders.
Around 0930 along came the KY, great fun catching and releasing them, gave 1 away to a yak who was passing.
Headed back to the beach around 1015 as the mayor was booked to do a clown show at Rainbows End (that's what he told me, but he was wearing a trench coat with a bag of lollies).
Waited on the beach for half an hour until the ramp freed up so i could load up. Home by 1130 and another good day.
Tally:
Mitch, 5 snaps
Mayor, 7 snaps with 2 around 50cm
Yes another NN tale

What a trip. It was mad May out there, never seen so many ky. Great fun
Biggest was 55. The others between 50 &36. Another win for the Mayor
Great morning on the water and even Mitch enjoyed himself after he'd stopped moaning about the guy at BP taking 3 attempts to make his trim soy double shot decaf flat white, I'll just stick to the steiny's way easier
Spent the afternoon with the family, I don't think life can get any better

Well done lads.
I went out on Saturday.
Was also slow going till 7:30ish, then I caught a bunch at 30-32cm which I threw back thinking the bigger ones were still to come.
Ending up only taking a couple at 45ish.
Saw one guy with several Gurnard which he caught out by the yellow buoy - never seen any of them caught there before.

Anytime Sean, normally Saturdays or Sunday's depending on the Mayor yoga classes. Just look for a Ford Kuga with a tube on top.
