Waterproof kayak pants with socks attached?
i have already tried several pairs of knee length waterproof socks, e.g. sealskinz, paired with Rasdex pants but want to improve on it
have decided the only way to go is pants with the socks attached
i would like to buy once and buy right
any views from owners of palm ion dry pants vs peak explorer salopette, etc, etc?
mostly interested in the durability of the sock and overalls vs trousers
i appreciate that its at the wrong end of the season, but I'm happy to stack them in the drawer ready for next winter so they're ready to go
all thoughts appreciated
reiss.

I have ordered off this site before, their clearance stuff is very good value and even the full price is not bad.
https://www.wetsuitoutlet.co.uk/trousers-c-23_199.html
If you login they display the prices excluding VAT.
Shipping is flat rate £19.
Last thing I ordered took less than a week.
Just be careful of customs (from memory they don't charge you if its less then $60, so if its GST only then the limit is $400NZ inc shipping, but if there is duty as well then the limit is less).

Wet feet just doesn't do it for me. I've been through a few pairs. I'm not a fan of Palm gear after owning some of their very expensive dry pants which leaked after a short while.
I've settled on these which after a year of use, live up to the hype. Definitely follow the sizing guide.

Two other things. I've deliberately been for a swim in these things and no dramas. Whatever you buy, no built-in sock is going to survive without some form of boot to protect it.

thank you to everyone who has posted here
i decided to go for the Lovig dry pants
the tricky bit was finding a way to purchase them - all of the resellers listed on their website are based in Australia and none of those websites were set up to transact outside of Australia
so i filled out the contact form on the Lovig website last night and Scott Lovig contacted me today
order placed. i'll let you know how i find them
i did my best to talk him into taking a banner ad on this site and becoming a commercial partner as i think there is a market worth chasing in new zealand for their product and this site has pretty good reach
thanks again for all the replies, much appreciated

Use Palm ion bib pants, love them, had them in the UK and got them sent over when i was setting up, wear them year round no issues, and buy a cheap pair of trainers to wear over them when up and about.
Feet still going strong after a combined 4 years no dampness felt yet.

as a self confessed fussy git i couldn't be happier. highly recommend this heavy duty quality garment of exceptional value. allow a week for the goods to arrive.
i also ordered the synthetic long johns which are of equal quality (fleecy on the inside) as i am over having to do a separate wash for the woollen long johns that i currently use
learn from my mistake(s) - waterproof socks (3 brands purchased) won't achieve your goal of warm feet as the outer material of the sock holds water and the air passing over it slowly evaporates the water, which has a significant cooling effect, making your feet feel as though they are wet even though they are dry
many thanks to Andrew Rawlingson for posting his recommendation (above)

re-read my post near the top of this thread - its all there
you will need to order them from Scott at Lovig in Sydney
these pants are a really well made, heavy duty product, sensibly priced, and well worth waiting a week for them to arrive
kind regards
reiss.
