Very comprehensive.
Here's their Jetski trailer which is probably easiest to adapt to the ultimate yak haulage machine:

No idea sorry - Just posted as an FYI.
You'll obviously be able to leave out the winch post, runners etc, and just throw a couple of crossmembers on with some cradles.

Part of the challenge with a kayak trailer is finding light enough springs.
Most shocks are at least 650kg A kayak trailer, kayak and gear are nowhere near that and you end up with a trailer that is over sprung and rides rough.
I bought a trailer with a 1000kg set of springs hocks that were getting quite soft and it's nicely suited.

Duratorqe suspension is another option.
Best suspension I've had in a purpose built kayak trailer was donated from an old pop top caravan, from memory rated at 750kg

Springs have been the clincher for every (every) trailer I've looked at in NZ.
If someone came up with a 'jetski' style trailer with the motorcycle suspension system that Yakima etc use, then I would be first in line.
Times like this I regret being a LabRat and not Fitter...or auto mechanic....or builder....

It's not hard to make a independent coil sprung setup for a trailer, you could use motor bike coils for softer spring rates, we made one for a jet boat trailer a few years back, a fair bit more materials used doing it than the normal leaf spring type, if you want an idea have a look at a car with independent rear suspension, it does work very well though. For leaves Trailpro Hamilton used to have single leaves kit I think they were 250kg rated but it was a long time ago when I saw them

There are some engineering shops that still make leaf springs. There is one in Palmerston North but I cannot remember the name. Had some made many years ago.
