Hi,
First post, after having lurked around reading quite a bit for quite a few months.

Proud owner of a Viking Reload, lucky to have a very supportive wife when it came to getting kitted out for a new adventure - I've had a couple of nasty knee injuries and chasing deer in the bush is not as feasible as it used to be. Maybe she just needed a different excuse to get me out of the house!

Just bought myself a VHF radio, and have done the Maritime radio course, but I need to do a bit more work to get properly familiarised.

Having been having a bit of fun fishing around the Mount and Coromandel, but hopefully going to have a crack at fishing waters a bit closer to home in the Kawhia harbour over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully the weather settles (is that too much to hope for?!).

Anyway, thanks to all of the contributors whose wisdom I have soaked up over the last 6 months, I've loved getting into this sport so far!

Cheers.
