Started on the back foot - up at 4.30, in trouble before 5 for waking the baby and the missus.

Arrived at WC with my fishing buddy as dawn was breaking. Managed to park the car on the road instead of the gutter this time. Looks like the day might get better!

Paddled out on a small swell to somewhere past the first buoy. Not sure how deep cause my fish finder wasn't working again.

I got lots of bites and some small snapper and a couple of yellowtails, saw a flying fish, had a few mysterious hook thieves, and a big spotty somewhere around half the length of my yak. I heard they have no teeth, but by the size of him he could have sucked me to death, so I cut him loose! he bumped me from underneath the yak. and I made have made a small burley trail.

The wind died down and we paddled back in about 10, my buddy had (as usual) outfished me, but we both had a good size snapper - for me the first to write home about! and he had a few others too.

Sorry about the muppet holding the fish. Nobody should have to see that.

Everyone is a genius.

But if you judge a fish
on its ability to climb a tree.
it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.
