I don't have much to report on but i'll have a go, the fishing was just off for some reason :?:

Had pretty good morning conditions from 7 till 12 and got out to the metre area i usually fish, Berly went down and no fish came, so i moved , the same result. Whats going on here? Eventually i had a big smack at my third spot. Of course the first thought was a big snapper with the unknown fish tearing off some line shaking its head. Then it turned to head shakes and no runs, The culprit... yep conger eel, definitely my biggest , i'd put him at around 10kilos and the measurement was easily 1.5m. Got a quick pic and got him away. The rest of the morning was spent wondering why there were no eating species around, I started to catch pup school sharks 1 after the other, presumably only a few weeks old. Eventually i gave up at 12 and returned to land on the way back i saw a juvenile hammerhead swimming on the surface which i'd never seen before.
2018 mojo needs to be regained i think!
