Headed out from Te Awanga once again this weekend,

Kept paddling till i hit 7m on the sounder, Got some homemade burley set (Made from last seasons frames) A Couple ledger rigs down and settled into the mornings fishing.
Bites came quickly and i hooked up on both ledger rigs. A couple of snapper for the bin :y:
Once again this week i caught a juvenile smoothhound.
Between bites from Kahawai and Panny Snapper. I was bringing up carpet sharks from 50cm to 1m mostly females. These are much easier to unhook and release than spiny dogfish as i can grab them round the neck and put them on my lap.
After i had 3 Snapper into the bin the Trevally came out to play, i hooked two solid ones in the mid 40cm range. My favourite fish to catch around these parts. great fight in 7m of water.
Bullet Tuna was the choice of the day as bait and the snapper didn't stop their bite as i continued adding pannies to the bin till i had 5 of them
A few good hits here and there, Fishing was very hot . Finally hooked a better snapper and had a nice fight with a 42cm fish, A run from one of these goes right from the surface to the bottom. Better yet after weighing the fish was 1.82 kg which beats my current pb by a couple hundred grams  Slowly i am improving on snaps!

Good to bin up in 3 hours, Home before 11.30 !
