Alarm went off at 4:45am, and looking at the drizzle outside I wasn't 100% keen, but headed out anyway.

Launched around 6:30am just behind Luke and Mitch who headed right towards Rough Rock; I went straight out to the channel.

The conditions were near perfect: overcast with light winds and swell, giving a slow steady drift across the marker buoys.

Landed my 7 in little over an hour: 31cm-53cm.

Meet everyone back onshore for a chat, looked like nobody went home without a feed - great morning!

Huge embarrassment for me to be out fished by Mitch and Barry. Luckily for me, as Mayor of Narrow Neck, I make the rules. So yet again I win the NN comp with biggest, not most as per previous weeks, with this 54cm specimen. Great to catch up with Doc Profit and John. Unlucky guys better luck next week

Nice fish :)

I'm just about to fire up the smoker and make some smoked fish pie for dinner.
