As usual left home way to late ,had in mind going to Wilsons Bay but ended up at Waikawau to save a bit of time, was on the water about 11am. I usually take no bait but had some old salted bonito in stock. Paddled out to the mussel farms and just drifted along between the buoys. I had a ledger rig with the bonito one side and a watermelon 4" grub dragging behind. Ended up releasing at least four just under 30 cm but brought home seven between 31 and 36cm. All snapper, And about 50/50 on bait and soft bait. :D

Nice one mate! I took bait out on Saturday, first time in ages! Lost my one and only sinker |( ended up using a jitterbug with bait on the hooks. Only got one snap with bait??
