Went out this morning from Papamoa East, nice and flat. Lots of kahawai around and then a few snapper that bottlerocket kept catching...I was getting a lil annoyed that he was catching everything and me nothing! But with a few tips from Dave I managed to hook onto something....took my line for a reel run and I thought my rod was going to snap! I was pretty dramatic and thought it would be something little but when I saw it surface I screamed...half scared and half excited! I couldn't believe it my first ever legal snapper caught and first ever fish caught from my kayak and it was 72cm long and weight 7kg/13 pound!!!!! I AM STILL BUZZING!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is a genius.

But if you judge a fish
on its ability to climb a tree.
it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.
