Hi Pep, longtime between post here as I spending too much time on my wider kayak
Just wondering if you ever break one of those and at what drag (kg)/angle did they break?

Went stray lining by rangi today with 24T and caught a decent king
drag was set at 4-5kg ish and just enough to lift that donkey to the surface. (will let picture do its justice).

I haven't bought any rod from Awondering last past 2 years :?: as these rods just wont break
+ I still have 3 K-labs waiting to be abuse, so now you know why I haven't email you in ages

Hey mate, those colours are out dated now time for some new fresher looking rods :^)
PS exceeding the drag, given one rated at 20lb divide by a third, leaves roughly 3kg of drag is where it should be mate :y:

I haven't break my 24T yet and I probably won't because it's sitting in the rod holder most of the time. I've converted to the very light K-Labs Micro jigging spin rod 2-4 kg. Combine that with a 2500 reel and 8lb braid it's a lot of curve bending fun!

It had a jolly good rogering at the Rob Fort get-together last weekend and caught some very nice fish :y:

Yep, broken many of them in the past!

First one was when I stopped on the water at Orere to have a chat to AW and complained about how I hadn't caught anything and he said "sure are a lot of them out there today, my bin's full already". I grabbed my 24T and started smashing the back of his kayak, but only the rod broke while he just smiled and paddled off.

Since then there's been a few cases where he's made similar comments on this forum, so I break one of his rods into little splinters and courier it off to him each time.
