For those that maybe interested in how a totalscan transducer may work shooting through hull, I had this mounted below externally first of all and just didn't like it, it worked well but was just something else to worry about launching and coming back in...

So going against what all the experts say and through hull not being able to work here are a few pictures from a recent trip, form your own opinion from these :-)

Hey Kev, Any chance you could please post a pic of the install? Keen to see where/how you did the transducer.

Looks pretty cool, interesting to see the side imaging still doing it's thing after we always got told it had to be in the water to work... |(

Yer too true mate, interesting this ink here and that's what gave me some reassurance that it will work, reading between the lines he is from humminbird and shouldnt be advocating doing it ... http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index ... pic=8249.0

I've never mounted a transducer on a kayak before, I bought a wee Garmin and the bracket doesn't fit my OK ultra hole but then I saw this and read that you can silicone it.....what should I do??!?!

Nice one Kev, looks pretty good results. Hard to tell how much you're losing quality wise though. Be keen to meet ya for a fish soon aye? Can do a little compare
