Agree with JJ and others....whats the deal....??...

If its something dicky like "you have to use this brand of XX" then people need to know now, not at the briefing !

I'm down for the comp. Would be good to know these "special conditions" before signing up though :)

Stink one ..... if I had an old swing or old P13 I would be keen to swap , but im not giving up my Ultra Prowler 4.3 for a Reload . A 4.3 AND a reload would look sweet in my garage though ! :P

I reckon its mean those are awesome spot prizes so well done orty plus viking. If you don't want the yak take the $1000 from viking or shit if your that upset say redraw. Just my opinion but a spotty should not be your main interest in entering a comp, its just an added bonus if your lucky enough to be drawn.

Very different that's for sure but yea you're not getting my kayak worth more than a Reload, that's called a downgrade not an upgrade  I'd rather downgrade the prize to the 2+1 or Espri so I could flog it off on Trademe...

I don't see what everyone's getting all bent out of shape for, this is an extra as there is already two kayaks as spot prizes (like the rest of the comps), and should the winner wish to upgrade they can. If the winner does not want to change for whatever reason they choose, they can take $1000 of vouchers instead

I'll bet if it was worded differently, say "$1000 of viking vouchers OR trade your current kayak for a new Viking Profish Reload" nobody would have started whinging.

Geez guys, you're all being a little bit precious...

Keep it simple and make it a kayak or $1000 cash don't over complicate it

An upgrade was given at the Viking Invitational last year, and nobody got confused or had a cry about it...
Aside from possibly the wording, I really don't see the problem
