We are having a mini comp Labour weekend - free to Taranaki Kayak Fishing Club members. Makes sense to join the club when subs are only $10 :y: .

The deal will be, fish anywhere you want on the Saturday and Sunday of Labour weekend. Weigh in on the Sunday at 4pm at the port.
Weigh in one of each of the following - Snapper, Kingfish, Blue Cod, Gurnard, Trevally and John Dory. Winner will be the person with heaviest combined weight.

Okuma Cortez 5 combo is the prize, value $299.

Yeah mate I'm with you on the fishing and footy thing. Unfortunately for me I gotta get down to Waituna near fielding to finish off a deck for the brother in law while the weathers good. Gutted! At least it will be one more job outa the road to free up more fishing weekends.
Good luck fishing everyone.
Go the :swear: NAKI

Think I might give Urenui a crack on Saturday morning. Sunday starting to look a bit marginal now wind picking up quite early.

All systems go for tomorrow, wind meant to drop overnight should be a bit of a southerly but will be ok up north or around Ahus or Oakura in close. :y:

Awesome snapper, well done those men. Had a blast fishing my first club comp, even though I didn't make the weigh in. Had some mainlanders around for tea sunday and they loved the fresh snapper and gurnard.
Heres to a great season
