Where have all the kayak fishing people in Hawkes Bay gone, :!: don't seem to be many reports or info pasted here. Remember that the fish are there all year, so lets get the dust off and head for the water. I mostly frequent the port areas and never not come home with nothing. Always a safe entry and exit as well. :y: Always good to head out with others for company and bragging. :) I am never out more than about 3 hours, so that's less than playing golf and better exercise, as well as providing tea for the family. Hopefully I will get some replys, even if just to let us know you still are into it. Drop us a line... or two!! :mp:
Will head out this sunday if fine so who's on!! 8)

That Kingfish was a catch and release, I thought about keeping it but it still had a lot of fight in it so I pushed it over the side :o plus I already had a couple of Snapper in the bin. There are some big kingfish around

Complex issues there Rex ,I just typed a response similar to a small novel but pressed the wrong button, and hey presto , the world missed out on a significant rant , any way , not to be deterred by technology I think you & I should organise what will be known as the " Dirty 30",
A kayak fishing contest that states that you can only use a rig worth up to $30. Proof of purchase, and your docket is your entry ticket .
All the usual safety requirements should be met & we request a coastguard prescence. Run from the Port, duration of 4 hours maybe .
I already have a sponsor in the form of "The National Aquarium of NZ.
