Hey Guys,

As per my club newsletter last week, don't forget to let me know if your attending this weekend so we know numbers for catering. I booked a tent site last week and there is plenty of availability.

I have only 4 confirmed so far but am expecting quite a few more...?

Hi Smitty, yes I am a member - didn't get the email but only sent the club form out to Craig a couple of days ago so probably a timing issue.

No worries mate, bring a light in case we feel the need for an early morning/dark launch. A contingent of fishers will likely get up early and drive further up the coast (red shed, granite wharf) but I may just launch from the camp depending on weather conditions, briefing Friday night and work out who is doing what and make sure everyone is buddied up.

Solid fish, (Snaps) were being caught drifting between Frenchman's cap / Square island last week. Plus a couple of Kingi's. Lots of feeding Kahawai around all over the place with good Snaps and king's under them.
To the left heading to Whiskey bay from Camp drifting the incoming some very good fish in the 15/18lb mark have been caught in the last couple of weeks.

In saying that there are a lot of small Snaps legal and under being caught. I have a limit of size coming into yak so tend to let a lot go, just hope they survive.

Fishing is getting better. We are past the end of Feb. So fishing should be looking up for the next coming months. Hope this helps.
