After trying a few different paddles, I matched the BreakSea with an Epic Mid Wing carbon paddle. It only weighs 680 grams and I found 205 cm perfect for breaksea, 210 cm for the Mirage 580, and 215 cm for the Prowler 4.7 feathered at 45 realizing how the length of the paddle varies with the type of kayak in practice. Size of the blade seems ideal for the sea kayak range but I feel I need more blade power for the sit-ons, I might save the arctic wing for the 4.7 and the fishing ski.

Here is a video of today's paddle. If I was asked to describe the breaksea in one word, it would be FAST! I am not a fast paddler but for my own standards I did a 25 Km paddle against the wind in 3 hours today Long bay to Tiri and back.

Enjoy every craft that can float, don't have one, have them all
