Hi fellas heading to raglan with some mates from my football club for an end of season knees up. Thinking bout taking the yak for a bit of a fish however have never headed out that way, harbour looks big but is it fishy? Might be a little wary of heading out but thought someone on here could maybe point me in the right direction?

Cheers. Inky

Hey mate,

Your yak is farmiliar with Raglan harbour ;)
The harbour holds fish though you may struggle to catch a legal sized snapper there.
Plenty of Kahawai on occasion.
There are a few holes and better fishing on the opposite side near the jetty.

Manu bay boat ramp 5km from raglan town. No bar or surf. Fish the wash if no swell or head out over the sand for gurnard n snaps. Just watch the surge at the ramp if the swell is up.

Thanks fellas , I get the jitters just thinking about seeing "Bruce" in the flesh let alone being on the water and seeing him. Might just hunker down in the Yot club!
