I would be keen for Sunday as I haven't been kayak fishing before. I have trailer that can take up to 4 kayaks. Am in Hamilton.

This mornings paper says westerlies 15kt swell 1m sat and developing to northeasterlies 20kt sunday for raglan. Variable 5kt becoming 10kt northeasterlies for sunday in the coromandel and sat 15kt westerlies. What do you all think? Where and when? Or are the conditions not favourable?

Guys, if your not already aware there is a Waikato Kayak Fishing Club day tomorrow at Kereta, on the Thames coast, although Sunday is definetley going to be the better day weather wise. I have already spoken to Jeffro and Footrot you are on my e-mail list. If you want to be included in the club's e-mail list just let me know your details.

For looking at marine forecasts I use Swellmap, I find its easy to read and have generally found it to be pretty good, and it has a Manu Bay forecast if your looking to head out that way. For Manu Bay I have always worked on the swell being less than 1m and haven't yet run into any difficulties, unless you get seasick!

Yes, thanks got the email but unfortunately can't do Saturday. Looks like the weather might be a bit dodgy anyway and as a beginner I will leave it till the conditions are more favourable. :(
