Hey guys,
This is just a bit of fun, The question is, your stuck on a deserted island with only your yak and a rod (and a couple of jig heads), you find a endless supply of one flavor Gulp, your choice, so what is it??? (This is flavor / colour, not shape that will be another poll ;) )
So you get one choice for your favorite colour gulp...
(I've probably missed some, so let me know)

I always rig up 3 different baits on 3/0 - 1/2oz jigheads.
3 casts and no strike, a quick swith on the genie clip and try another.
Top 3 fave's in descending order.....
4" pink shine curly tail
4" chartreuse minnow
Green lizards - usually only break them out when fishing is tough due to poor longevity.

If the above 3 fail, it's great to have a good range and keep trying colour and shape until....

I like the peeler crab. Not sure what the colour is though, sort of a natural skin colour.

Good old nuc chook running away with it eh. So pink shine, nuc chook and lime tiger seem to have been amongst the most popular for awhile - does anyone know why this is, were they the originals, or is it because they glow, or their amusing names, or do they just work better, or something else. I was not a fisherman when they first came out but does anyone know what the original gulp colour range consisted of? Any predictions for what the next colour released will be called?

lime tiger for me ! although i do think that certain colours get popular because we always tell our mates what we were using when we had particularly good catches ( probably at times of the year when the fish are munching anything ) I've had good days on the lime tigers and terrible days on them but I only mention the baits to people on the good ones ;)

Yer must use the whale bone barb lancewood spear next time from my seal skin kayak
With all the wasted bits from filleting the fish to use for bait, I just can't see the point in paying money to add more synthetic stuff to the food chain.
It's funny with all the lovely flavours Gulp offers, as they sound like ya choosing from a Chinese & India Takeaways (note to self, must try some left-over Satay Chicken & BBQ Pork on the hook ta see if the fish will take it, know that fresh liver works, LOL). Anyone try them to see if they taste ok, lol. All those pretty colours too. So are the tasty names & pretty colours to get the fish to bite or the buyer :^) . If it the buyer then Gulp is getting pretty good "bites" .
