I do comps to fish new water, or should I say the driver to get my ass to somewhere different is the comp, the down side of that of course is unless the fishery was awesome then the chance of heading back to the same comp the following year is low if there is an opportunity to fish else where on the same dates. The social side of any [kayak fishing] comp is by far the biggest part of a comp, most people are happy to see anyone with a good fish but yes PS there are the odd few that make attending less pleasant in any group.
