Has anyone used one of these? They are a water proof GPS smart watch. As well as all the usual terrestrial exercise functions they have kayak/row/swim functions.

I can get one for a very good price but still ~$NZ 500.

I'd be keen to know if they are any good before forking out.

Hi, I don't have the quatix 3 but a older fenix 2 which has more an outdoor exercise focus.
I am quite happy with it. It has easy waypoint setting, navigating etc along with distance, speed etc which are all good for kayak. Also had sunrise and sunset. I like Having one that can be used for other things not just kayaking .

Just had a look at the Garmin website. The new fenix 5 has built in heart rate and similar price. May be worth a look too.
