Hey folks. Anyone ever shortened their transducer wire? I'm fitting an elite 4 to my reload. The transducer wiring is way too long to tuck into the tackle pod hole so was gonna shorten it. just making sure I'm not gonna come accross a whole lot of fine wiring or anything unexpected.

I would say don't cut it, keep trying to fit it in there. It is tight but does fit (sounds a bit rude)

The excess transducer cable can be coiled into the cavity above the transducer:

The secret is to be patient, coil and cable tie (or tape) periodically.
If it's neat, it'll fit.

One day, manufacturers might come up with a kayak model that doesn't have 86 feet of surplus cable....
