Hi

Does anyone have suggestion re a "small" protective waterproof pouch for a Uniden Voyager radio. All the bags available I have seen seem very large.... Looking for a comfortable size to be able to keep in a pocket in my PDF.

Thanks for the advise... cheers

I had mine for about 5 years without a bag and its been sweet as, hosed down after each trip and every now and then fire some lanocote around it, the only reason I changed to a Icom was the replacement cost of the Voyagers battery :n:

Thanks for the reply Kev.... I was a bit worried about leaving it "unprotected" even though it is supposed to be waterproof... will give it a go... cheers

When I had voyager it went into a GME waterproof HF case I bought from Burnsco.

Somewhere on here is a post by HLD pointing out the two water ingress risk points on voyagers and how to seal them: -

1) The external mic socket (sealant).
2) Under the rotary controls (o-rings)

Same here, 4 plus years and lots of wet trips with no cover and its fine.
Only thing I did do was use some sticky silicon to stick down the rubber cover for the plug in external microphone. It looked a bit too easy to knock out and would be the one place water could get in.

I use the burnsco one with my uniden atlantis 270 http://www.burnsco.co.nz/ProductDetail? ... 0000000707. you can pick them up for cheaper on special .I just clip it to pfd like so. It doesn't get in the way of anything where it is
