Anyone know where i can get hold of some high density foam?
I need to make a wet box to mount a transducer in my kayak.

Para rubber might be a start?

I got some from payless plastics at the valley - they had some offcuts in there a while back, let me know if you still need some, I may have some leftovers!

Gardening/kneeling mat from Bunnings etc.

Have just done a reinstall on my battery holder on my stealth with 90mm closed cell foam on the bigger battery im running on the waka now ...

Flog someones Spa pool cover or Tramp pads
Around Aucks you keep an eye out on the inorganic piles at chuck out time

I went to plastics place a couple weeks ago, they only have the low density foam (like a sponge).

I've looked in bunnings & mitre10 found there kneel pads but they're all rough on one side. Not goid for sticking bits together to form a water tight seal.
No para rubber in new Plymouth either.

I'm looking at childrens swim floats at the mo, but was looking for a more cost effective solution.

I've got some scraps of high density foam I have used for similar tasks. If you get stuck give me a holler and I'll send you some.

Funny you should say that...the kids are still looking for the tramp pads.... shhh

- got plenty to spare in my garage, anyone travelling down to the naki?

With these strong winds there's a good chance of me having a tramp in the garden when I get home tonight!
