Hello Kayakers,
I'm going on a trip to Papamoa in April for a weekend and i wondering where some good spots to go are. I've done the same thing for Nelson and even ended up heading out with a local kayaker. And caught loads of gurnard. Where would a good place to start ? It would be good if i didn't have to paddle too far . If anyone would be kind enough to show me around or go for a fish that would be cool too .
Thanks for reading

Or send a PM to piwikiwi or downtown. Plenty of top blokes around there.

Blair Im keen to take you out for a fish off Papamoa. Generally dont go further than 2kms out. Fishing has been patchy but april should be as good as any time. We mostly softbait but if you want to anchor and berley etc I can get you onto some shallow reef areas at the 2km mark while I drift around.

Having flat surf is important at Papamoa as its a beach break with no gaps.

My cell number is 0274744711 give me a yell when you are up.
