haha thanks Jase

Fishing was very quiet today for me and Shaun , pulled up at the gate around 7 and loaded up the yaks in very nice conditions but within a hour the NW kicked in :x :x so much for 5 kts NE . did a HUGE DRIFT FISH and only caught 2 undersized BC and a small carrot that got returned . Shaun hooked up to something decent which took him for a very cool ride but it then spat the hook .

Went for a 40 minute dive as we were a fair distance away from the cars and the wind was starting to pick up, vis was okay saw some very FAT BF but again i left some important equipment in the car (the sharp end of my H Sling   and gloves ) manage to get 3 crays but 2 were berry and i dropped one. saw a few other crays but they were out of reach . managed to get my bag limit of Paua in 3 dives which was cool.

Bumped into Faulk on the paddle back , was nice to catch up with you.
I couldn't get over the distance you got using that sail and we could see you for miles.

Such a arm numbing paddle back home but in all honesty.......no fish were caught but what an enjoyable day 8-)

Nice report and pics. Good to see guys diving from yaks, something I love and plan to do a lot more of this summer. The potential is huge as so much good country can be accessed by kayak.
