Good luck with that.

Weather is still shit here in Raumati, this wind is, erm, windy, even Izzy the goat is fed up with it.

how did you guys go today?
after prevaricating for a few hours i ended up going north from makara beach, wasn't expecting much but got there and it was dead flat!! nailed a kahawai about 5 mins out, then set the longline (waste of time as it turns out) then went for a snorkel just north of the fenceline. not many fish around but i got a cray on my very first dive!! stoked!
paddling back i landed another nice KY then hooked up another one that busted off. all in all a good day! stokked to be back into it.
smoked KY and cray for dinner tomorroow!

Wind dropped and then swung about then clouded over again and.. argh!

I went down to the beach on the Moto Guzzi (fossicking for cheapo bits for diy scrambler upgrade) and talked to a couple of the villages young blades heading out with long line and kayak. They got 3 snapper last week so things are on the up!

Went out for a surfcast after dinner - utter disaster. Got in 3 casts in an hour and spent most of the time picking weed out of my gear - looks like I need the kayak to get out past the weed, better finish the scupper pro methinks.
