This caught my eye - I like the idea of the battery(s) in the outrigger.

I've always liked the quietness of electrics but have struggled with the limitations of battery capacity when stowing on board the kayak itself. Placing it/them in the outrigger is something I want to play with myself.

Wow...exciting concepts arising......I guess the plan is don't get struck with lightning..lol

On a more serious note, many years ago on a spear floundering trip, I once turtled out of a small yak at midnite while trying to reconnect a 7ah battery terminal........when retrieving the battery which was in a shopping bag......I got electrocuted....yep zzzzz...on a near flat battery.....the shocks were to powerful for me to hold the bag........ as I'm not an electrical engineer but more a hapless victim of electricity.........just how much power are we carrying on our yaks these days. and potentially how dangerous is it.......looking at this new powerhouse unit...what happens when that capsizes and all that energy is expelled...hmmm???
