Used Profish 525 lined up, carbon is too far out of price range! Dream yak though!

Wooohoo, please let us know what you think of it. That's most likely the model I'll be after once I've saved enough. Really keen to learn what you think of it. Yeah the carbon seems like a big jump in cost for just a little extra weight saving and stiffer/slightly more slippery hull compared to the glass variants.

Apart from all the obvious benefits like paddling efficiency/speed, livebait well, easy off the water handling because it's so lite, that central fish/rod hatch, I'm very keen to learn if:
- too much hull slap
- the transducer goes on and reads OK
- sitting in a few inches of water all day long gets annoying
- it takes way too long to drain some of that out the foot wells during surf launches when you really need acceleration and definitely don't need to be sandbagged by a few extra kilos in the seat area
- you come up with a good way to keep the catches chilled.

Good luck with it and that sale of your current yak.

I certainly will! Just need to get this reload sold!

My thoughts on the way to keep fish chilled is buying a fish bag, and get it velcroed inside the hatch on the floor to stop it moving around, just need to find an easy open bag.

I fish Otago and the water can get pretty nippy over winter, so will be interesting to see how water in the wells goes might need to make up a mini bailer to keep the feet and butt warm lol

Other thing I need to suss is a way to transport my cray pot on the back too, easy with the reload to take out to the spots but may be a no go with the stealth, or ill need to get creative to make sure it doesn't scratch the fibre glass.

Hopefully I can get the reload sold quick, and the stealth down here soon and ill post up my review
