Looking at spin reel options to match up with a new K-Labs jig rod that's on the way.

Like the look of the Smoke and Cabo models in a 40 or 50 size and was wondering whether anyone has had much experience with the brand? Alan Hawk seems to rate them quite well.

Cheers

Badger, bought a Quantum EXO 30 From Rob Fort 18months back. Have owned a few reels over the years / looked after them all. My Quantum EXO 30 has exceeded my expectations. Rob was spot on, they can take the knocks. Mine has had a lot of work and is just as smooth as when I purchased the reel. Adequate drag on them all for use on Kayak. I would buy another without hesitation.
For a small cost ring Rob for quality info on the carbo/smoke models. They match up well with the K-lab rods. MTCW. Cheers.

I have a Cabo PT50. It's not a Rolls Royce, but the drag will put many other reels to shame. Look after it and I expect you will get years of pleasure out of it
