Hi All,
Standard rules apply, please see the competition page
Competition Dates: April 1st to April 30th
1. Only one fish per entry
2. Multiple entries are allowed over the month but only your last entry will be put into the pool for voting, this means that the Snapper you catch on the 5th you put up, then on the 20th you catch a bigger Snapper and you post that, and on the 30th you manage to catch a bigger one still, the poll will only contain your entry from the 30th.
All entries should include the following information (along with a picture of the fish)
Name / Username of Angler:
Fish Type:
Length:
Date/Time of Capture:
Location of Capture:
Type of Lure/Bait used:
Comments: (optional)
The prize for the best fish this month is again a great prize from K-Labs: this month’s prize>>> And it's pretty special as it's one of their NEW rods!
The runner up will receive a selection of goodies from Top Catch Whangarei
These are excellent prizes again this month, so lets show our support and lets see how many entries we can put in between us this month, remember it's not always size that counts, it's a public vote for the best fish, the biggest fish doesn't always win!
Good luck everyone!

Ok, ok. Brace yourselves. The red terror of Glenduan has finally been captured....
Angler - Murf
Bernard the Gurnard at a whopping 290mm
9th April mid morning.
Off the boulderbank at Glenduan
Green Flasher Rig laced with squid.
My first carrot, bit of a let down after the monstrosity that self released yak-side last trip. And the obligatory shot with my hair out and shorts on....
Just kidding

I know, luck o the Irish.
Actually I think I'm quite talented - bet nobody else could catch as little as I do with so many hooks in the water. I went through a kg of pilchards worth of Carpet sharks this morning too
I had to take one apart to get my new rig back too and found another fresh pilly in there from earlier, sods. Got a solid Coutta on the softbait too
.
It was a fantastic day out there today, flat, calm and the rain stopped halfway along the boulderbank, almost as improbable as me catching something edible!
