Decided I'd had enough of the electric motor in my Old Town Predator XL dying on me when I need it most, so I've replaced the motor console with a flat deck console.

Can't believe Old Town didn't put a lid on that flat deck console, so I cut a hole in mine and I really like the end result. Lots of extra space right there where I can reach and I might just get a bilge pump going from one of those scupper holes to make a livie tank.

FYI, nothing wrong with the motor itself, my problem was the cabling on the kayak itself.
