Re: Solo tether quick release

DO NOT tether yourself to the kayak in White water at all well said. :y: RE: As to Sailing the Pa sails I've done some Hairy crosswind stuff and the fun you get over the crest of a 4-5' chop in 20 knots will soon convince you it aint worth it and in the event of capsize the sail collapses and traps...

Re: VHF

The yellow floating Uniden (MHS050) is JIS8 rated, which is better than the voyager. If it was 5w version I would buy one. After promising the wife that I woudnt go out at all over the break without my VHF, and the leaving my VHF at home (6hr return trip) :$ I thought i would see what the local sto...

Re: Whiti fishing??

Got nearly spooled by something off hahei reef (think probably a kingi or shark) only for it to bend the hook before i could even get any line back. Picked up about a 12lb er (didn't weigh him) right betwee...

Re: Attaching lures

hey mate, Swivels aren't needed, but definitely use a trace as per what Hainsey is saying. generally speaking with braid you don't want any knots tied around metal (alough some people do) as the braid may start to bite into the metal and then cut itself on the sharp edges created. Having a fluro lea...
