Re: Tahe Greenlander T (sort of review)

I think seat modification is part of any sit in kayak to be honest. Each paddler is different, so adding foam here and there to make it suite you is all part of it. There have been plenty of reports about the rear strap on the seat not providing enough support. But it seems fine for me, not an issue...

Tahe Greenlander T (sort of review)

tahe%20greenland.png Hi Guys, Well I had a couple of minutes spare, so I thought I would do a review of sorts, of the Greenlander T kayak from Tahe. Before I get into it, I want to put 2 little disclaimers in here, firstly for all the diehard Greenland paddlers out there, I am yet to paddle the kay...

Re: Spraydeecks

I have a number of spray decks now, not sure why, they must be breading. Im very happy with my day two one, and my rasdex, both are full neo. I do have a day two deck that is a half / half deck which has seen alot of use, but to be honest they do let in quite alot more water than the full neo ones i...

Re: Relays

the reed doesn't take any current as it's not under load, merely making a contact. The relay does the work and takes the amps. So how would I wire it? The relay needs the main line in and out, and the electro magnet in and out right? So if the main line is the battery to the relay - relay to the pu...

Relays

Ok guys, Thought i would ask those who know more than I do... (Which I'm sure is everyone :$ ) What i am trying to do is rewire my pump in my Eco Bezhig using a reed switch. (magnet on deck, reed below). As the only reed switches i can get my hands on are very low rated (for house alarms) I think I ...

Re: one direction??

Take it up to OK in Silverdale and get the boys to do it for you...or YakAttack in East Tamaki ill 2nd that. While it is doable by yourself (the rudder kit actually has some pretty good instructions, Its much easier to get the boys at Johnson outdoors (OK silverdale) to do it for ya. + you get to c...

Re: Eco Bezhig

So hard to make up my mind. The obvious solution would be to get both... Mate the two boats you have narrowed it down to are two of the best boats we have in nz, either way you wont be disappointed. It really comes down to what sort of trips you will be doing. but given both are very sea worthy and...

Re: Deck bag

I agree with PS on making your own, and with the others on keeping it in the cockpit rather than on the deck.
Its amazing how much harder it is to roll a yak with stuff on the deck, especially a bulky deck bag.
If you really want one the canoe and kayak sell them and have them on their website.

Re: Eco Bezhig

For what its worth, I still paddle my Eco a lot, and love it. One of the very few boats I would trade it in for is a glass Torres, and that is really only for the weight saving / its easier to mod glass boats so there is more for me to tinker with :P But as far as plastic boats go, I really believe ...
