Re: anchor advice

The chain anchors the kayak and anchor anchors the chain...Chain prevents the end of the anchor being lifted up effectively disengaging it... no chain or too short a chain and you won't hold. I just figure WY has no issues because his anchor is a shark jig, he's a bit of a shark magnet you see and t...

Re: Max bad weather?

35knots off shore wind means if you can't paddle against it you going to end up off shore in far shittier conditions... paddling against that sort of wind requires a fare bit of fitness and a kayak that will cut through it. Morning forecast in ho hum afternoon is a shocker

I think there's also been the rare case of fish spikes getting into the blood stream and causing all sorts of major issues.

Re: Kayak seats

The big game and predator seats have fittings as part of the mold, the Kayak is designed around having a higher seating position. they are also elevated slightly, I think if you could retrofit one it would have adverse effects on your stability. I know I would struggle to go back to an original seat...

Re: Snapper spike in thumb

Have had mullet spike in the hand picking them up on the counter, they fester really fast, you learn not to put spikes in your hand pretty quick though cause they hurt like buggery, can make you feel pretty crook as well.

Re: Product Support - Lowrance

Look, I understand that logic completely and I agree, it would be unfair to expect a full warranty renewal at the 11th hour. I like your idea of a replacement within the first week, but I guess I want something similar to that for the warranty based on what percentage of the warranty period has ela...

Re: Product Support - Lowrance

^^ lets put this into a little perspective You buy something that has a lets say a 5 year warranty. It fails at 4 years and you're given a new whatever unit as a replacement. YOUR money paid was 4 years ago. they replace it with no issue and that unit will see through the remaining 1 year period and...
