That and my young fulla's are full on "take me fishing dad" which is time limiting. Otherwise I may h...

Re: Elite 4 chirp issue

I'd be pulling the Card out and cleaning the terminals. sounds like sometimes its reading the card and sometimes it's not. Give it a clean first and see if it fixes the issue and make sure it's not damp/wet in the slot. Otherwise it may need to visit the doctor I would say...

Re: Cals Drag Grease

Interesting.... that doesn't look like cals... You will notice Cals is very brown and also very thick... That kind of looks like a felt washer grease we get from shimano. http://www.smoothdrag.com/pic/5.jpg How does Cals compare with the shimano grease? Sk8E8, Is this the white fine grease from shi...

Re: The reel you

Agreed Kerry. The new penn offerings are pretty bloody good, HT 100 drags are awesome and there newer reels are made to last with the grease installed from factory to help ensure it... Check out the new slammer 3, had a play with it yesterday and I got to say Daaaaaaamn bigger models 30kg drag, smal...

Re: Kayak Weights - Actual versus Claimed - Ocean Kayak Trident 4.3 USA v NZ Made Ultra 4.3

Hey Triumphv8, Interesting points and I think every Kayak out there will have it's lighter and it's heavier versions of the same Kayak... We weighed ours across the dump scales so it was in fact an accurate weighing Other than weight we also noted a substantial difference in the rigidity of the new ...

Re: Trolling livebaits for kingfish

Bridle rigging is far superior to back hooking, Nose rigging is not really bridle rigging. A basic idea for bridles for a almost 100% hook up rate To start with don't pre tie them unless your running a short bridle. Livies are not all the same size so neither is your bridle. For the best results you...

AntN. Boats catch plenty mate, but like us there are those that catch and those that don't. Don't fool yourself into thinking boaties don't catch fish.

Re: A Lucky Escape

Inflatables have there place, they are not as good as a true PFD but in this case the fitment of the pfd is more at fault than the pfd itself. He couldn't get to the pull cord that means he's deliberately tucked it out of the way... that said a lot of the PFD's we wear for fishing are not enough to ...
