Re: Possible cuts to Auckland snapper bag limits 40%?

I think I have kept my limit once this year. Nothing under 30 has been kept and last time out I kept 1 after landing heaps around 30. So I am not bothered by a reduction. Just peed off that the commercial quota probably won't be touched.

Awesome stuff and well done on the PB. It is great to see everyone but me peaking a few weeks too early. Did you tag it with a GPS tracker?

Re: Club Meeting tonight 1900 Ngaruawahia Fire Station

Had a really good chat with Peter from Canoe and Kayak. He has offered a lot of help and is a wealth of information on the kayaking front. Some really interesting offers and suggestions for guest speakers that should keep us interested over the Winter. Next meeting will be at Canoe and Kayak on Te R...

Re: barracouta and braid

I have been lucky enough to never catch one. I have had other people around me catch them but ignored my offerings. Granted that often happens with other species a lot  . I always leave my sinkers out in the weather to lose any shine but not sure how well thet would work with a jig head as you ...

That's an awesome offer. The station bar is looking less and less like it will be available in the future so may be a good option. We are due a meet tomorrow but with everything that has been going on in my life recently I have done very little and a few things I have done have fallen through. I sug...

Re: Army Bay Sat 1st

Was a good day out on the water. Not many keepers caught but heaps around the high 20s and low 30s. Good to catch up with everyone on the water and have some local knowledge before I launched. Thanks Bro. Headed home and got to about Meremere when the SSO from my brigade rang and said "Where are you...

I got through 2 kg of Salmon and Pilchards in about an hour yesterday on a ledger rig to pull up an endless stream of small snapper. The only one I kept was caught on a softie.

If everyone is heading to Army BAy and are only put off Wenderholm by the tide times then I am going to pull the plug for another date. Plan now is to follow KK around. Real mans hours as opposed to gentlemans hours sound good to me so I will see you at 0600 KK and I will sort you out for those lure...

Good stuff KLB. Nothing like a little birthday tribute to those that deserve it. Happy Birthday Kev. You can't keep secrets like that when you have so many fans on the site. Have a good one. G1 it's not the KY he needs to be worried about. The Donkey that has appeared in the back garden would be my ...
