I may be wrong in how I see this...or read it wrong, but if you start after 1.30pm briefing and cutoff time is 4.30 pm.......there's no time for paddling to fishing an area and getting back, furthermore weigh-in starts at 4.30pm.....you'd have to be back on beach at 3.30pm to get yaks and gear loade...

Another trick I have for lifting kayaks or carrying them short distances is to clip one kayak surf thigh brace amidship,(these are those padded straps with spring clips) adjust it to my needs and carry it away usually in some sort of forearm grip. Currently working on a complete crosshoulder cushion...
