Re: new toy - Daiwa Ballistic 2500 Reel

Mag seal is good. Hope you brought it locally though cause no body will be able to service it otherwise... Why would someone not service it? Seems strange! isnt that like buying a Honda japanese import and Honda NZ saying no we wont service that car? Isnt it just money in the bank to do the servici...

The most we added to that was 178kg and could still paddle
Im pretty sure I have picked 0.5 kg's of fibreglass out of my legs this week, so I reckon it must weigh 22.5kg's now!!

Re: COROMANDEL KAYAK ADVENTURES ANNUAL GET TOGETHER 7th November 2015

Hi All/Rob
Unfortunately its looking likely that I will have to miss this event this year. there is a 10% chance I can still make it but I have a lot of stuff to do in the metropolitan paradise that is Hamilton. :(

Re: ASSASSIN COMPOSITES Kayak update

Took a trip out to ASSASSIN COMPOSITES workshop today to check that the quality of this kayak build is up to scratch. From my thorough inspection I can confirm that all workmanship and product is up to scratch.

Re: Awesome as deal on >>> BERKLEY GULP TUBS

First of all I take my hat off to Kev. The old saying "payback is a bitch" is true. A while ago I put some dodgy reference on some goods I bought from Kev....I laughed....he laughed...we all laughed. So I did it gain with these tubs of softbaits.......however it looks like I got what I put into the ...

Re: beef jerky recipes

The seasoning of the meat before marinade and sprinkling on before smoking has made a difference to flavor. I also tried something new, I kept the marinade and put it in a spray bottle and sprayed the marinade on the meat throughout the smoking. It has ended up with a real nice glossy glaze and heap...

Re: Latest addition to the K-Labs forest of rods - and bit of a rant n rave!

My all time favourite is the 40T......Ive used mine so much I have now retired it cos I couldn't bear to see it get damaged or broken. I know it sounds gay but id much rather have it sitting there to look at than risk damaging it....it really is a rod of beauty. And I do have a couple of other Klab ...

Who ever has 30 rods and says they use them all, I find hard to believe :P . Out of those 30 sets, we all have our favourites that get used far more than the others. I have about 8-10 but only use 2 all the time (as they are my favourites), the others only get used on the odd occasion. Anyway that m...

Good idea. I also see Viking kayaks do a cheap rail (compared to others out there). Maybe I need to check and see if that will fit my wagon.
