Wave dancer is around 1000 split between the passengers, red boat is 20 on grabone. Wave dancer is a nice little cruiser with knowledgeable skippers who target prize fish at select secret spots and create awesome stories and memories, red boats is a re purposed ferry that anchors in the rangi channe...

Re: Land Based Fishing around Auckland Central

Just don't go on that red boat fishing charter. Beyond awful. I'm keen for squid action when it starts, my 6 y/o got me a fancy squid rig for Xmas.

Won't be there tomorrow, while Omaha beach seems to have a calm spot moving around, looks like I'm waiting for next weekend anyway.

I wear one of those works raincoats. Keeps the rain from chilling me also turns me into a buoy. Massive fluoro orange blob on a bright yellow raft. Plus the flag with the torch on the top and the rail blazer navigation light.

Sorta psa for noobs re nets.

So yeah. Went to waiora yesterday morning. Brought home a small KY, as the 50+ monster snapper I managed to reel in was to teach me a lesson about having a net ready. Many curses were directed at him as he lay there for a moment mocking ne after breaking my knot at the jighead yakside before realisi...

Seriously ? We gave up a year ago. If there's a dns option that doesn't get wrecked daily pm me about it. VPN is no good as I've got several devices and the fritz box won't do whole network VPN.

Re: navionics gold card

I updated mine the other day, opened a couple of files on it (didn't change or save them) but it's fine. A computer will quite safely read a memory card, they have a standard file system and won't damage it.

Re: Greenland Paddle

Its soooo much sleeker than the wavewalk. I basically fish off a barge, an open fridge, if you will.

Either way I'm intrigued and will see if I can find him at the market in a week or so ( being up there for a rest and relaxation and all )

I too would need to be up at 4 (instead of 5 as theres the ablution and the 40 minute drive anyway ) and cant sleep properly...
