Re: Yak hard-body lure starter pack recommendations please.

Yes , single hooks on the Manic Prey. When I hear a strike I paddle a few hard strokes whilst turning in the direction the rod is on , hopefully sets the hook(s) and gets the line angled out away and not directly behind when I get the rod out of the holder I tried singles & seemed to me that I had ...

Dropped two good fish one after the other when the hooks pulled ( trevs maybe ? ) multiple snapper . Easy...

Re: Does nobody use JARA removeable sinkers these days?

Decoro Mt Maunganui is where I last got some, the only place i've seen them.
When I used to strayline or live bait I would bore large holes in ball sinkers & changed my rig to suit so I could add/ change weight easily.

Re: Yak hard-body lure starter pack recommendations please.

Although I have & try quite a few different tow lures, some always seem better than others, & catch more fish, I beleive that a lot is due to the vibration & rattle of the lure & less about the size & colour. Also depths that lures run at, speeds that they are towed, hook types, species of fish tage...

Re: Softbait and Citrix 364 reel

I have no problems casting SB's with the Citrix, but mainly use it for microjigs now & use spin sets for casting.
