Few of the one I’ve been fishing for a couple of years now. Had some good success on snapper and trevally with them.
Never try the last one which is more prawn/crustacean look, I’m hoping getting interest by gurnard and snapper on sand ... will see

I use triple hook now when targeting JD
Reduced my fish getting away by 50% at least! I hook the bait in the back with one hook and leave 2 exposed ( don’t go to small in case of a kingfish turning up
I rig them with a pulley rig ( usually used in surf casting )

early morning launch this morning with perfect forecast. Got a first Kahawai inside the port while trolling a lure, then just 100m out the port something take the the lure again, felt much more powerful than a kahawai ... tuna ? not in 15m, big snapper not on top water , after 10 min of a good fight...

was fishing yesterday at waiiti beach, very nice weather calm water and plenty of fish. heaps of small snapper (kept 6 pannies), got one 5,5kg snapper and a bigger one (released) around 7kg.Some big kahawai too.
