Re: Wanted: Stealth Fisha 555

I assume you’ve contacted Ryan ?
Seems most folk that have them have swapped over from other models. They all apppear happy to keep hold of them . 🙄
I’ll ask on the WhatsApp Stealth Tribe group.

Re: FS: Shimano Kairiki 8 multi-coloured 25lb braid

If I could, I would grab it. Both my softbaiting and my trolling reels need new line.
I’m going heavier ( thicker) line next so I can have a better chance of seeing the stuff .
Enough there to last a lifetime

Possibly selling due to the weight ? If it’s the one I’m thinking of. Some of us oldies struggle getting it up.....

Re: First fish in 6 years!

mate... the subject is definitely click bait. Caught me. glad to see you still remember how to paddle! Come out to WA for a fish when you can. Ev Where in Perth? A couple of years back my wife and I had a great time with my cousin in Wellard, visited Rockingham and Penguin Is then drove up to Cerva...

Re: Sunkist Bay

Length of line out varies with depth of water and speed you’re maintaining. I used to count off paddle strokes while reel is in free spool. Over sand i would run off fifteen to twenty, then flick the reel in gear, paddle for oa bit, if not hitting the bottom, flick into free spool for another ten, e...

The lure in the picture looks like a StrikePro or similar, not a Dr Evil. .?

Re: Sunkist Bay

Another weekend dont feel like too much driving see me leaving Sunkist Bay around 7:30, again not much boat traffic on the water which makes it quite enjoyable. Trolled the newly acquired Dr Evil lure out to 7 m of water but for some reasons struggled to get it to swim properly (I let out about 30m...

Re: Anyone using longer (8/10/12') rods?

Thanks for that info. The lingering doubt is if the 525/75 is only feeling tippy because we are coming from wider plastics and it would only take a few trips in different conditions and landing a few good fish to get used to it. Something we can't really do with a test paddle. That and how much mor...

Re: Anyone using longer (8/10/12') rods?

Nice one dedant. To each their own. Most guys on here can handle dissenting views. It's always good to learn from differing perspectives too. I'm a bit confused, which is nothing new. Wondering if I go with a 8' 2/pce from my beloved Shimano Eclipse range or inch my way up there with a safer 1/pce ...

Re: Anyone using longer (8/10/12') rods?

Can’t agree with Andrew, and no reason why we should agree :) . Personal preference is just that. I absolutely love the Ocean Angler Microwave rods. I now have two, both V2, but one is the 10kg and the other the 8 . Used to have a Daiwa 8’ oh canal rod for softbaiting with a bait caster reel, loved ...

Re: So, who's getting the new plastic Stealth when they come out?

That's great news, thanks. I look forward to seeing how Kiwis get on with 'em. They look like a great plastic yak. I'm still saving for a fibreglass one. Nearly there. Besides, with what feels like four or more months since the order cutoff, if they haven't managed to sell the whole can by now, som...

Re: How about a test-paddle day?

On going discussion within a few club members. Wanting to host an Open Day of sorts for a few years now. Maybe if I bang heads with John P from EAKFC we can arrange something. Both Griff from Stealth and Dan with the Hobies in conversation said they would be on board with it. Scheduled fishing trips...

Re: A great morning out

What's that funky coloured fish called? Is it the softbait in his mouth or does he have feelers coming out of his mouth? Good on you for letting the big one's go. Anything over 60 cm I let go too. Its a goat fish, reef dwellers and the brightest one i've ever caught...phot doesnt quite do it justic...
