Re: NN - 21/01 Non starters

Saturday night we attended a 21st, and 5 bottles of my homebrew cider meant I stayed in bed Sunday morning! I'm going thismorning though , rain be damned!

Re: Wheeleez Kayak Trolley

Just add a further conversation. Now I have a lighter kayak ( the Kraken was a great fishing machine but heavy ) and I the C-Tug I had went with it. Is the smaller wheel Wheeleez cart ( $200ish) that much better or do I keep saving and go for the standard one at around $300?

I think you can go up to the summit from McKenzie Bay ,has a small sandy/ peebly beach, just on the northern side of the light.

Re: Two questions

Paddle leashed to yak. ( in rough conditions or pre dawn or late evening solo trips , I have a safety line from me to the yak as well)

FG flouro to braid then swivel, clip , or jighead . Depends on the rig and what I am doing

Re: For Sale - Drogue Chute and Running Rig

Any idea what you want for the running rig? Do you want some home tied "skutes" as part of the deal? :)

Re: Noob in Welly / Mango

They want to point into the wind , it is the nature of kayaks , has something to do with wind pressure forcing the water down on the windward side I think(?)Boats lean into the wind also, 400 no worse than some others. Loads of great and some not so good instructional vids on YouTube showing correct...

Re: STEALTH PROFISHA 525

I have just seen this on TradeMe , any interest? I prematurely listed my kayak and now has a bid, damn it. Do you have any thoughts on how this rates for fishing, gear storage , stability etc. ? I am keen on easy paddling , lighter weight rig . I troll hard body lures as much as I can between bottom...

My two are soft bait rods are 7'8" and 8' not an issue with extra length, I like that for casting anyway, longer handle on your net maybe? :)

Re: What's it worth?

As I have learnt this year after failed attempts to get offers anywhere near our asking price ( and supposed value) on our house. It is only "worth" what someone is prepared to pay for it. Sorry not to be more helpful, :(

Re: roof rack selection

I always tie front and back, stops the seesaw effect that buckles the entire roof of my lightweight Japanese people mover. ( I added my own tracks to the roof to give more distance to the cross bars than when using the standard clamp on position)
